The reinvention of Ford’s ways of working, designing, and advancing. A 16 week project with IDEO to create a “fast-moving” design lab for Ford in order for them to stay competitive in a difficult market. The goals for Ford were to leave this project with the capability of being a leading force in the automobile and industrial design industries. In order to compete for new talent with the likes of Tesla, but also large scale tech companies like Google; Ford needed signifigant changes to its organizational structure, technology, brand, and spactial design. The project aimed to create a public space connected to a city where hopeful buyers could engage with products and research and development and add their own ideas and customizations into the design. This immediate feedback loop is something we really believe Ford needed to change thier organization.
